The Squash Wars League… is a fun way to play squash with a variety of players who have similar skills. The ladder format requires each player to complete four matches per month and allows players to move up or down the ladder depending on their level of play. It usually takes a few months for players to get sorted into appropriate divisions. The winner of each match is responsible for recording the scores. After each session all the boxes are adjusted and players are shuffled up or down in the ladder based on their wins and losses. New box league are posted within 1 - 3 days and the next rotation begins. You may join the league at any time during the year by signing on the website http://squashwars.com IMPORTANT: The squashwars new user code is: Cinci (this and all the login and password are CaSe SeNsItIVe) and entry fee to CSRA.
1. Foreword
Please read, understand and abide by these Rules that are for the benefit of all players. The USSRA and CSRA Squash code of conduct and Fair Play Statement will also apply to this league. Also please review the attached rules of squash.
2. Eligibility & Requirements
a) Must be a CSRA and USSRA members are entitled to play in the Squash Wars Leagues. All standards of Ladies, Gents and Juniors are encouraged to join.
b) Must have a squash club membership (Cincinnati Sport Club, Cincinnati Country Club, University Club, LifeTime Fitness, Queen City, Five Seasons, Mercy Healthplex & Dayton Squash Center).
c) Paid league fee.
d) Eye protection must be worn for all matches.
3. Penalties
a) Failure to wear eye protection is a forfeiture of the match.
b) Abuse of club entry for the squash matches is:
i. Mandatory one month suspension (first offense).
ii. Suspension for the rest of the season (second offense).
iii. Indefinite suspension on the Squashwars League (Third offense).
4. Scoring System
PAR 11 scoring system shall be used, best of five games, first to 11 points rally scoring.
5. League Points
Points are awarded as follows:
• 1 point to each player for playing the match.
• 1 point for each game won.
• 1 additional point for winning the match.
Finished matches receive the following points:
Matches ending 3-0 shall be scored 5-1.
Matches ending 3-1 shall be scored 5-2.
Matches ending 3-2 shall be scored 5-3.
Unplayed matches
- The opponent shall be awarded 5-0 if a challenger fails to make the challenge, see rule 8.
- The challenger shall be awarded 5-0 if the challenge is not accepted, see rule 8.
- A player who has cancelled a previously arranged match shall be responsible for re-arranging another match or be penalised 5-0.
- If the cancellation occurs after the last challenge date the player will be penalised 5-0.
- If no explanation is given, then the challenger will be awarded zero points and the opponent five points.
- If the opponent is injured and can not play the match it shall be logged as a forfeit.
6. Posting Results
Both players are equally responsible for ensuring that the correct result is entered. Errors caused by the players will not be corrected.
7. Promotions and Demotions
• The two players with the most points will be promoted and the two player with the least points will be demoted. This is pending player entering and leaving the league.
• If two players are tie the tie breaker is head to head result.
• If more than two players are tie the tie breaker is as follows:
a) The least amount of game lost.
b) The current player box league ranking.
8. Match Arrangements
• The challenger is responsible for arranging that particular match.
• The challenger must play at their home court
• You can only play your TWO challenge matches at your home court.
Except if your remaining matches are from the same club.
• You can only bring two guests per session to your home club and you must be the challenger.
• All challenges must be made before the last challenge date as stated on Squashwars.
• Before a challenger can claim the points for an unplayed match they must offer their opponent at least three non-consecutive dates, one of which must be at the weekend.
• A player who will be unavailable for part of the league session, due to work or holiday commitments, shall be responsible for contacting the other players, at the earliest opportunity, with a view to playing all their matches in the time available. Opponents can claim the points, 5-0, if the player fails to make contact or there is insufficient time in accordance with the three non-consecutive rule above.
9. Injuries
A player who becomes unavailable for part of the league session, due to short term injury, shall be responsible for login and change the status on “my settings” in the Squashwars, and notifying the other players of his injury at the earliest opportunity.
All matches played prior to the injury shall stand. All unplayed matches after injury shall be scored 5-0 against the injured player.
Returning player must have to change the status in the Squashwars setting prior to the next session.
10. Disqualifications
Players who fail to play any matches in two consecutive sessions, without reasonable explanation, will be disqualified for a period of twelve months and if re-joining thereafter, the entry method or position will be determined by the League commissioner.

The League commissioner shall consider any player who has inadvertently found him or herself at the wrong level and at his own discretion, shall reposition that player accordingly.
13. Final Decisions
The decisions of the League commissioner shall be final.
